Rosie Kohn
My name is Rosie Kohn and I teach 2nd grade at CMCS. This is my fourth year at this fabulous school. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, but made my way out to Colorado for college where I studied film theory and history. I moved back to LA in 2016 to be closer to family and get my teaching credential. I was beyond lucky to be placed here for my student teaching and got to learn from the fabulous Kathi Sweet. I am so fortunate to be teaching here at CMCS and I look forward to the year ahead!
Tracy King
I’m delighted to be joining the dynamic second grade team this year, after having taught and loved 4th grade here at Community for several years. This is my 10th year teaching and I’m excited to create a Room 10 family full of creativity and learning fun!
In addition to teaching, I love reading, hiking, and traveling. Octopuses are my favorite animals ( but giraffes are a close second), and the color orange makes my heart sing.
Terri Thomas
Terri earned a Master's degree in Elementary Counseling, but fell in love with teaching after teaching a Pre-kindergarten class. 2021-22 marks Terri’s 13th year as a 2nd grade teacher and her 16th year at Community Magnet. In addition to teaching, Terri loves reading, traveling, dancing and eating. Some of her favorite things are the color purple, tulips, roses, chocolate, ice cream, and iced tea!
