Meet our Kindergarten Teachers
I am Maria and this is my fifteenth year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten, second and fourth grade. I would have to say that kinder is my favorite! I have been part of Community Magnet Charter School for many years, but I have been teaching here for the past seven years. I enjoy traveling and experiences different types of foods.

Marie West is celebrating her 25th teaching anniversary this year. She grew up in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Eastern Michigan University having majored in English Language and Literature, and minored in Japanese Language and Culture.
After briefly working in the corporate world, she knew she wanted to fulfill her childhood dream and became a District Intern to get her teaching credential. What she loves most about teaching is her students. A fun fact about Marie is her favorite rides are Tatsu, Goliath, Space Mountain and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey! She loves theme parks!

I have been at Community for fours years now, going on 5 in January. I first started as Phyllis TA in fifth grade for about three years. I learned so much from her and I continue to learn as I see her around the school. Now I am in Kinder with Marie and loving working with the little one's. I am attending El Camino College as a Child Development major and hoping to transfer to CSULA or CSUN to pursue a career in education.
My name is Fanahi Williams and I have been a kindergarten teacher at Community for the past 22 years. I love working with kindergarteners because I get to witness so much growth in the students throughout the year. My favorite things are family, friends, Pilates, shopping, and traveling!
